We have many resources out there to help you. Here are just a few:
- Start with your application's Help menu.
- Refer to your handouts and any notes from the workshop.
- Go to the Resources page to view several tutorials, self-help documents and other links.
- Go to the Links page to view online tutorials, self-help documents and more.
- Go to the Web sites of the software company who created the software (for example, www.Adobe.com).
- Finally, send us an E-mail us at training@unl.edu; and we may be able to help.
How do I sign up for a workshop?
- Log in into our enrollment system using your My.UNL login/password.
- Choose your preferred view in the left-hand navigation area.
- In the List Workshops screen, click Enroll to register for training.
Or, in the Workshop Calendar screen, click the Add button. - To verify that you are signed up, click the View Your Schedule link at the left.
The workshops you have signed up for will appear. - You will receive a reminder by e-mail one business day prior to the workshop.
How do I pay for a workshop?
Introductory workshops are generally free of charge. However, others do require payment prior to attending.
In general, workshops offered by ITG staff will be $20/hr. For example, an hour-long workshop will cost $20,
one and a half hours will be $30 and a two-hour workshop will be $40. Training offered by Easel Solutions
will have their pricing listed on the ITG web site at the discounted-for-UNL price.
After you click the Register link to the right of each workshop, or, in the Workshop Calendar screen,
click the Add button, you will need to select a payment option.
- You may either pay online, with a cost object number, or pay by check.
- If paying by check, you may stop by any of the UNL Computer Sales stores on campus to make
payment prior to attending the workshop.
How do I drop a workshop if I cannot attend?
- Login to our enrollment system using your My.UNL login/password.
- Click the View Your Schedule link in the navigation area.
- Click the Drop link at the right of the workshop you wish to drop.
Because workshop size is limited, please drop a workshop if you are unable to attend, so another person can attend, instead. No-shows will be billed. You may retake a workshop for free at a later date. Please be sure to inform the instructor when it is a retake. Easel Solutions has a strict cancelation policy. Depending on the class, there is either a 10-day or 30-day cancelation policy. If you are unable to attend, substitutions can be made with another person.
What if I need a workshop that is not offered?
We do our best to offer what faculty and staff at UNL are interested in. It is difficult to offer training for every software application on the market. If there is software you would like to see training offered for, we will consider adding it, or perhaps we can direct you to someone who is already providing it. E-mail us at: training@unl.edu.
What if I don't remember my login/password?
Because our workshop registration system is now linked to your My.UNL login/password, you need to contact the UNL Computer Help Center at 472-3970 or helpdesk@unl.edu.
