Classroom File Server

Access your folder on the GPC server from your Mac OSX

  1. Make your Finder the active window
  2. From the Go menu, click Connect to Server…
  3. In the Server Address field, type the address of the server: smb://gpc.unl.edu/staff
  4. Click Connect
  5. A new window labeled SMB/CIFS File System Authentication appears
  6. In the Workgroup or Domain field type: UNL-AD
  7. In the Name field, enter your Active Directory User Name
  8. In the Password field, enter your Active Directory Password
  9. Enable the Remember This Password in my Keychain button
  10. Click OK

If you wish to have the GPC Fileserver available each time you login do the following:

  1. With GPC mounted, open System Preferences from the Applications folder
  2. Under System, click Accounts
  3. You may be required to type in the Administrator password
  4. Highlight your account and click the Login Items tab
  5. Click the + button in the Login Items pane
  6. In the window that appears, navigate to the mounted GPC volume and click Add
  7. Quit System Preferences

The next time you login, GPC will be available.
