Control Systems
A classroom control system consists of an interface (buttons, knobs or switches) and a switcher, a device that routes the audio and video to the projector! Due to the complexity of these systems, many of our lecture halls are configured with AMX touch panel control systems. These systems provide an easy to use graphical interface that makes setting up a presentation a breeze even for folks who are new to the system! We have done much in the way of standardizing these panels in all ITG supported classrooms on Campus. Standardization makes it easy for instructors to move from room to room and building to building without having to learn many different systems.
Many
of our Small Classrooms have been fitted with ADA compliant
furnishings and are controlled by our standard Extron
System 7 switchers. These units make it easy to control
the components in the room without the added expense
of a touch panel. Component selection, projector power
and volume controls are all located on the System 7
panel.
