How old is your Browser?
Older Browsers may not work well with Blackboard.
If your Internet Explorer software is older than version 5.5, you will need to run the free update it at the link below. Internet Explorer for Macintosh is not compatible with all features of Blackboard.

Safari needs to be version 1.2 or newer.
Most features of Blackboard are compatible with Safari, with the exception of Journal and Teams Site tools

Mozilla Firefox 1.0 or higher (Windows and Mac) – All features of Blackboard are compatible with Firefox, with the exception of default WYSIWYG text editor.

AOL – The AOL and MSN browsers are not compatible with Blackboard and is not supported by the Help Desk. This does not mean that AOL or MSN cannot be used as the Internet Service Provider; rather, a different web browser should be used once you are connected to the Internet.
Check with your instructor if you will need plugins like Acrobat, Quicktime, PowerPoint Reader, Flash Player, Java, Shockwave Player, Real Player, Windows Media Player, etc.
